I have another bible verse to share with you today. I love this verse because it gives me assurance that no matter the problems I face in life, God will provide what I need to get through them, and I have no need to be anxious and fearful.
"For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of the drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit." Jer. 17:8
This verse, along with Psalm 1:3 teaches that one who trusts in God will not be free from trials and adversity,
but that God will be bring fruit and blessing in and through those difficulties. We are being compared to a palm tree that has been firmly planted in a well-watered oasis. As everything
about the palm tree is valuable and productive, so are the
righteous people of God. The tree will not fear when drought comes, and will not be anxious nor stop bearing fruit.
Instead, it will stay green and
productive because its roots are deeply planted.
