Sweet Treat Cup for Easter

Annie’s Ink-Lings

My cardmaking class is coming up in a short time, just before Easter weekend.  I thought it would be nice to make a special little something for my class members, so decided to see what I could create using the Stampin' Up Sweet Treat Cups.  Actually, I had forgotten that I still had some of the cups and was delighted that I found them in my supply closet.

I looked through my paper stash and found some really pretty plaid in bright spring colors, and then found some coordinating blue and pink card stock to use for the bases of the cups.  I then made a dash to the store to purchase some treats to fill the cups.  If you need a quick little treat, then this one is for you.

Here's what I used:

Stampin’ Up Floral Frames Dies

Stampin’ Up Sweet Treat Cups

Technique Tuesday Cross Die

Solid Color Card Stock for the Large Floral Die Cut 4”

Coordinating DP for the Smaller Floral Die Cut 3”

Yellow Card Stock (or coordinating color) for the Cross Die

Package of Goodies to Fill the Cups:  I used Peanut Butter Chocolate Trail Mix from Costco

Easter Joy Card

Easter Joy Card

I purchased the Easter Cross die last year and almost forgot that I had done so, purchased expressly for this year's Easter Cards.  Happily, my mind finally reminded me of die.  Here's what I created with it.

I really like how the white die cuts stand out on the brown background.  The next picture is of the inside of the card.

The Amen is a die cut.  This sentiment is so true and really speaks to my heart.  Wishing you a great Resurrection Day!

Happy Easter Card

Annie’s Ink-Lings

Here we are getting close to the end of March with Easter only a few weeks away.  I've been busy making little Easter treat cups for my bible study group, along with Easter cards.  Here is one of the designs, using the Darice Cross with Script Embossing Folder.

I used the Crop-A-Dile Stub punch on the corners of the two layers.  Small details such as this can add so much to created a finished touch.  To make the lovely Scripted Cross embossment stand out, I lightly rubbed the raised words with Speckled Egg Distress Ink using a Picket Fence blending brush.

To add some color to the inside of the card, I glued three little flowers to the bottom left of the card.  And then I just had to stamp risen.  Jesus is risen, indeed!

The Meaning of the Cross

Hello friends,

This coming Sunday is Easter, the day we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.  The cross says that God especially loves those who are hurting  -- those who are under the penalty and power of sin. If you will turn to Jesus Christ and put your trust in what He did for you in taking your just penalty for sin on the cross, He will deliver you from sin’s penalty and from its power.  He wants to be your Shepherd and Overseer.  He loves you just as you are, but He loves you too much to leave you that way. He wants to heal you from the devastating effects of sin.  How thankful I am for this precious gift!

The card I'm sharing with you today is called, in stampers' language, "clean and simple."  This is the kind of life that Jesus lived.  This is the kind of life that Jesus has inspired me to live.

My prayer for you is that during this Easter season, the Holy Spirit will move your heart to commit all to the Lord Jesus Christ.  Love Him, commit to Him, serve Him; it is the "clean and simple way."

May you receive all the blessings of Easter.

Annie

The Blessing of Easter - Jesus Is Risen

I love Easter because it reminds me that Jesus is risen, but that He died to give me eternal life.  There is no greater gift than this.  I created only one design for Easter cards this year, the simplicity of an empty cross.  But that empty cross has such a deep meaning - that we believers will be resurrected just as Jesus was.
As you worship on Easter Sunday, I pray that you experience the full blessings that are waiting for you.
Happy Easter Celebration!
