Peaceful Cabin – Springtime at the Cabin

Annie’s Ink-Lings

Here I sit, practically snowed in, and all I can think about is when is spring going to arrive!  We have over 3 feet of snow all around us, with about 24 inches coming in one day and night.  Nonetheless, I'm happily snug in my studio having a great time.

The Peaceful Cabin stamp set was meant to be a snow scene, but look how wonderfully it was turned into a springtime in the woods scene.  So fun to create!

For the background I used a Stampin' Up foam brayer overlapping the Distress Ink colors to make the grass and the sky with light clouds.  I really like the texture that the foam brayers leave, compared to the solid color look that rubber brayers make.  And I especially like the Diorama die that beautifully sets off the scene.  Can hardly wait to use those dies again.
