Kitty Sympathy Card

Annie’s Ink-Lings

Hello again friends,

A couple of days ago, a friend's kitty passed away.  They had 14 years of wonderful companionship, so she has really good memories of them living life together.  Since I've had two cats pass on to kitty heaven, I can relate to her loss and feeling like she is left with a big hole in her life.  Sharing her sadness and wanting to send comforting thoughts, I made this sympathy card for her.

I computer generated this verse for inside:

Our animal friends
teach us more than we could
have expected and love us
more than we could
have hoped . . .

. . . that’s why we miss
them more than we could
have imagined.

Card Directions:
The card base is a very pale lavender card stock.  I generated a sentiment on a sheet of white card stock, then cut it to make a panel to layer onto the card base.  The top of the panel has rounded corners.  For the bottom of the panel I die cut a decorative border using a border die from Spellbinders Card Creator dies called A2 Scalloped Borders One, S5-182.  For the decorative strip down the left side, I used a die from Elizabeth Craft Designs, Ribbons & Jewels, #1070.  The cat die is from Impressions Obsession DIE083-K.  The panel was attached to the card base using mounting tape.  A tiny punched heart for the kitty was the finishing touch.

Thank you for checking in today.

Blessings,
Annie
