Romans 15:13   “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Romans 15:13 is a wonderful prayer that Paul wants every believer to experience.  God is the God of hope.  He is the foundation on which our hope is built, and He is the builder that raises the hope in us.  He is both the object of our hope, and the author of it.  Any hope which is not fastened upon God and which is not of his working in us is but fancy, and will deceive us.  The hope that God builds in us will fill us with joy and peace.  What fills a person exercises control over the person's attitude and actions.
